Zeco Schoolwear

Ethical Trading Policy

Quality, service and price are crucial, but never at the cost of the world around us. We believe in sustaining and ensuring our fair trade ethical policies worldwide. That’s why every Zeco garment is made to follow our standards of conduct by obtaining fabric and labour from responsible sources only and taking ethical, economic and environmental issues into consideration.

The school wear industry is very sophisticated and highly labour intensive. At Zeco we seek to first and foremost ensure that human dignity, safety and respect are upheld within all our factories in the UK and across the world. By doing so we ensure that all local standards and laws of each country are obeyed, if we feel that the laws are not stringent enough we ensure that our own guidelines are carried out.

Zeco Ltd’s Ethical Code of Practice which has been advised that all our factories must follow, covers the following areas:

  1. Health & Safety standards
  2. Human Rights
  3. Working Hours
  4. Wages & Benefits
  5. Working Conditions
  6. Against Child Labour
  7. Forced Labour

All the factories we use are long running businesses who we have been dealing with for many years. We firmly believe that the guidelines that we have in place ensure that they consistently produce a good quality garment compliant to all aspects of ethical trading.
